Description
Offered for sale is this nice Winchester ‘Teddy Roosevelt’ Commemorative Model 94 rifle in excellent overall condition as can be seen in the photos.
Winchester Commemoratives were first introduced in 1964 & each Commemorative was issued as a reproduction of a historically famous gun model or to honor a historically significant person, group, event or institution relating to U.S. or Canadian history.
Commemoratives are generally of very excellent quality & are often embellished with fancy stocks & metal finishes such as silver, nickel (as this rifle is) or gold plating. Manufactured to be instant collectibles, they are pleasing to the eye.
Theodore Roosevelt, affectionately called ‘Teddy’ was the 26th US President, from 1901-1909 & was an advocate for shooting & other outdoor activities over the years.
These commemoratives were offered in 1969 & just 52,386 were actually made, fewer than actually intended.
This example is in excellent condition as can be seen in the photos & appears to be unfired but this an educated guess. It does not come with any accessories or the box which is why we have priced it accordingly to sell.
Please view the photos carefully & make your decision based on what you see as they form the main description & override all written information. Ask for more if desired.
Do your own research & you will know if this is for you.
We think we have described it accurately & correctly but do not claim to be infallible so if we have got anything wrong, it is unintentional & are happy for feedback from people who know more than we do.
Whilst we check these out for serviceability, the warranty has expired & this is sold on an ‘as is’ basis. As with all used guns, we recommend you have this checked by a suitably qualified person prior to shooting.
