Rare 1st issue Colt Police Positive .22 WRF
This 1st issue Colt Police Positive .22 WRF with 6” barrel SA & DA is a rare & interesting gun.
In original condition but with plain non standard wooden grips (most were made with checkered grips). According to serial number, was made sometime between 1910-1925 & in excellent working order. Cylinder locks up tight & moves freely. Reference to Colt’s patents are stamped on the top of the barrel so please ask for photos of this if it is of interest.
It retains most of the original bluing but has wear on the high points, which is to be expected. The barrel shows patina near the muzzle. Please view the pictures & ask for more if desired. Being the rare .22WRF calibre this is indeed a rare & collectible firearm.
.22 WRF is commercially available, meaning this is a viable shooter!
This is a must for any serious Colt collector & would make a fine addition to your collection.
