Description

Offered for sale is this original & highly collectable BRNO Model 1 rifle dating from when the Czechs first began post war production of rimfire rifles. The Model 1 had a wide open ejection port, flip-up leaf sight, a safety on top of the bolt & a fairly simple trigger (although variations exist). Around just 170,000 were made.

Manufactured in 1951, this rifle one of the early rifles, as they transitioned to the Model 2 in 1956 & is in excellent original condition as can be seen in the photos.

Happily, this rifle has retained the original rear iron sights & front sight hood which are often removed when mounting a scope & are usually lost in time.

Original Model 1’s are highly collectable in their own right & there is nothing we can say about this that can’t be seen in the photos so make your decision based on what you see.

There is a very fine historical hairline crack near the wrist which has been repaired well & there is no flex. This can be seen in the photos & won’t affect shooting.

These don’t come along very often so if you think this is for you, don’t hesitate.

Please view the photos carefully as they form the main description & override all written information so ask for more if desired.

We think we have described it accurately & correctly but do not claim to be infallible so if we have got anything wrong, it is unintentional & are happy for feedback from people who know more than we do.

Whilst we check these out for serviceability, the warranty has expired & this is sold on an ‘as is’ basis. As with all used guns, we recommend you have this checked by a suitably qualified person prior to shooting.
