Description

Collectors will know the Pistole 640(b), also known as P.35(b) as being a 9mm Browning Hi Power built by FN during the Nazi occupation of Belgium.

It is a little known fact that the FN Hi Power is the only firearm officially used by both the Allies & the Axis during WW2, having also been made for in Canada for the Canadian & British special forces by John Inglis & Company who also made the Bren gun.

In German service, it was used mainly by Fallschirmjäger (paratrooper) & Waffen-SS personnel as made famous by the photo taken during the Battle of the Bulge of a Waffen SS trooper holding one.

Here you have a hard to find wartime Nazi marked FN Browning Hi Power made by the Fabrique National (FN) factory under Nazi occupation. This pistol has all matching parts & numbers. It is in excellent working mechanical condition with a great amount of original blueing still visible with honest splotchy patina across the metal work on the left side. The bakelite grips are correct & genuine.

The bore is good & the serial number is marked on receiver, slide & barrel as was usual. The pistol has all correct Nazi eagle stamps & proofs Waa140 marked on left side of frame & slide which is correct for this era. The Nazi eagle is marked on left side of slide & frame more than once. The right front of the trigger guard is marked ‘MR’.

Condition is better than photos show.

Make your decision based on what you see, so please view the photos carefully as they form the main description & override all written information.

This is for the serious collector who knows what they want & how hard this is to get hold of one of these in Australia.
