Description
Very desirable 2nd variant Take Down with octagon barrel, chambered in .22 Short
Designed for Winchester by the John Moses Browning, the Model 1890 was Winchester’s first slide-action rifle & was extremely successful.
Chambered for the .22 caliber rimfire Short, Long, Long Rifle & Winchester Rimfire (WRF), this proved a fun rifle for the whole family😎.
The First Models were offered exclusively in solid frame; subsequent models were offered also in takedown configuration as this rifle is. All first & early second models had case hardened receivers & after 1901, with the introduction of the third model, all receivers were blued as this one is having been manufactured in 1905 according to Winchester records.
This presents in excellent condition as can be seen in the photos & functions perfectly. Holding shorts, you could load up to around 20 shots & being Cat A, this is completely legal.
This model is particularly collectable & can go for over USD$2,000 in the US.
We have priced this to sell fast so don’t delay if you think this is for you.
We are not going to try & rate the condition out of 100 as everyone seems to have a different opinion on what the percentages should be, so we’ll let the pictures be the description. You will know if this is for you so view the photos carefully & make your decision based on what you see as they form the main description & override all written information. Ask for more if desired.
We think we have described it accurately & correctly but do not claim to be infallible so if we have got anything wrong, it is unintentional.
Whilst we check these out for serviceability, the warranty has expired & this is sold on an ‘as is’ basis. As with all used guns, we recommend you have this checked by a suitably qualified person prior to shooting.
Standard cost for shipping to metro locations is $55 & all guns are sent via StarTrack without insurance but packed very well.
