Description

FOR THE COMPETITIVE RIMFIRE SHOOTER

Any airgunner will recognise the name of Weihrauch, a German company with a deserved reputation for producing a wide range of well-made and accurate air rifles & pistols. Catering for disciplines ranging from serious competition to fun plinking, it has been dominating the market for years.

The company’s fortunes have waxed & waned since its foundation in 1899. In the first part of the 19th century Weihrauch produced a wide range of firearms including big-game rifles, double & triple-barrelled shotguns, as well as the first mass-produced .22LR rifle to be manufactured in Germany.

World War 2 brought the business to a halt & it was only some years afterwards when German companies were once again permitted to manufacture airguns that Weihrauch restarted operations. It relocated from Soviet-controlled East Germany to Bavaria, where it was able to begin to rebuild its formidable reputation.

Weihrauch never really returned to the manufacture of shotguns & full-bore rifles but by the 1990s it was producing a limited range of rimfires, the HW60, HW660 & HW66. These were designed to appeal to a wide range of disciplines & the HW660 featured heavy barrel & adjustable stock options.

This rifle has had very little use & with the adjustable trigger, would suit the competitive shooter wanting to upgrade or an excellent choice for a 1st rifle for rimfire comps. It comes fitted with a German 4-12×50 scope, all ready to hit the range!

We are not going to try & rate the condition out of 100 as everyone seems to have a different opinion on what the percentages should be, so we’ll let the pictures be the description. You will know if this is for you so view the photos carefully & make your decision based on what you see as they form the main description & override all written information. Ask for more if desired.

We think we have described it accurately & correctly but do not claim to be infallible so if we have got anything wrong, it is unintentional.

Whilst we check these out for serviceability, the warranty has expired & this is sold on an ‘as is’ basis. As with all used guns, we recommend you have this checked by a suitably qualified person prior to shooting.

Standard cost for shipping to metro locations is $55 & all guns are sent via StarTrack without insurance but packed very well.
