Offered for sale is this very nice & hardly used Taipan Lite, one of the original Aussie made pump action rifles.
This example was traded by a shooter with shorter arms & was hardly used from new.
This differs from the Taipan X in that it doesn’t have the side cocking handle or forward spring assist.
Quite frankly, if you haven’t had them, you’ll not miss them.
These are chambered in .223 Wylde which is a US rifle chamber designed to accurize the 5.56×45mm NATO chamber for NRA High Power competition with .223 Rem, making these very accurate. Being capable of safely shooting the 5.56 NATO rounds & having the 1-8 twist rate means you can shooter heavier projectiles than the usual 55gr to add a bit of hitting power to go with the accuracy of this rifle.
The Taipan is a solid, sturdy piece of equipment & we rate them over the Remington 7615 which are pretty much the only pump action rifles on the market in Australia.
The attached Red Dot has a red laser incorporated so this would be great for shooting goats & smaller pigs.
