Great farm gun!

When you can only carry one gun on the land or in your travels, this is a bloody good option which gives you a significant advantage. Combination rifle/shotguns have been around for around 100 years & the Savage Model 24 for the past 80 in some form or another.

Being the most popular calibres will certainly get this sold quickly & you can augment its versatility by carrying a selection of ammunition such as solids, buckshot & lighter field loads for the 12g. Being essentially a single-shot firearm does bring its own challenges & there well may be a degree of pressure ensuring that first shot is right but to ethical hunters this is the norm & they would appreciate this when using a Model 24 in the field.

The gun weighs just over 3kg & has 24” barrels. The synthetic stock & metal finish have the usual marks with the blueing fading in places (see photos) but it gives no indication of having had any hard usage.

It’s easily broken down & is would be a great option for a ‘traveller’ & a great camp gun. It’s the ideal choice if you’re doing work on your property where you might opportunistically encounter game & this has the capacity to take small deer, foxes, dogs & feral pigs with efficient ease.

It comes mounted with a very clear Japanese Nikko 1-4.5 x 21 scope to take advantage of the .223 capabilities although the original iron sights are still on the gun.
