Description

Mint, matching Black Widow with correct Hardshell holster inc. tool & two mags!

Recently imported from the Fatherland is this desirable & highly collectable wartime variant is often called the ‘Black Widow’ in some collector circles.

These 1941/1942 manufactured pistols were the last of the P.08 Lugers made as the P.38 was in full production by then & were called the ‘Black Widow’ by post war collectors because of the black Bakelite grips & all over blueing giving it an all black finish whereas P.08 Lugers of previous generations were issued with the wood grips.

With all visible numbers matching it comes with two (2) correct ‘fxo 37’ marked magazines which is the code for Haenel, the sub-contractor which made magazines for the last of the Mauser P.08’s.

This pistol comes with the original black Hardshell holster which is in excellent condition & comes with the takedown tool & correctly marked bml/42, with a waffenamt code of WaA23, both assigned to the firm of Hans Romer of Neu-Ulm in 1942.

These holsters are known to be correct for this pistol, so you have the full, correct rig for a Black Widow!

We are offering this pistol as a collectable piece of military history & acknowledge the grievous atrocities committed by the Nazi regime & some of its military, particularly toward the peoples of occupied territory & the Jewish population in Europe. In no way do we condone or glorify the Nazi regime which must be remembered for the vile stain on human history that it was.

We think we have described it accurately & correctly but do not claim to be infallible so if we have got anything wrong, it is unintentional & are happy for feedback from people who know more than we do.

Make your decision based on the photos as they form the main description.
