Why buy new?
If you are wanting a varmint barreled rifle in a factory chassis which is fluted for shooting all day or night this rifle may be what you are looking for! With a RRP of around $1,850 for the rifle alone, why would you not buy this rifle instead?
The Mossberg MVP series is a family of bolt-action rifles developed over the past decade & at the launch, the MVP moniker stood for Mossberg Varmint & Predator. The LC indicates this is a Light Chassis version. The MVP LC is a basic design incorporating a one-piece tan MDT LSS light aluminum chassis which uses a Mil-Spec buffer tube to accept any MSR-type stock. Likewise, the MDT LSS chassis can use any standard MSR-type pistol grip. MVP LC rifles come supplied as standard with an excellent Magpul CTR stock & MOE pistol grip, the matte blued barrels of a medium ‘Bull’ profile & fluted forward of the fore-end, muzzles threaded & fitted with a knurled flush end-cap with this rifle having a muzzle brake fitted. All variants having Mossberg’s LBA adjustable trigger.
Chambered in 7.62mm (.308), this would be an excellent rifle for sitting off a dam for pig or large deer hunter. It comes fitted with the MAGPUL pistol grip & telescopic extendable stock with a LOP of 12.5” to 16.5”, 10 round MAGPUL magazine & picatinny rail, mounting a clear Vortex Viper 6.5-20×50 scope on a serious set of rings & all held up by a Caldwell 6-9” bipod.
As can be seen in the photos, this rifle is in excellent condition having done little work & has the nicely spiraled bolt body similar to the Lithgow ‘Signature Series’,
In the current configuration, this is great value & you can buy a lot of ammo with the $1,100 odd you will save over a new rifle set up.
You will know if this is for you so view the photos carefully & make your decision based on what you see as they form the main description & override all written information. Ask for more if desired.
Whilst we check these out for serviceability, the warranty has expired & these are sold on an as is basis.
As with all used guns, we recommend you have this checked by a suitably qualified person prior to shooting.
