Description

Mint, matching & is as good as they come!

Offered for sale is this extraordinary example of the iconic Aussie WW2 battle rifle which is in great condition as can be seen in the photos.

All numbers match including the wood, barrel, action, bolt & nose cap plus the bore is shiny with deep rifling.

It is complete with the original oiler & pull through which as you probably know are usually lost over the years.

As can be seen in the photos, this underwent the FTR process in 1954, as indicated on the wrist beneath the safety & it has FTR stamped on the barrel knox also. The FTR (factory thorough refurbishment) process was exactly that, a complete inspection with any parts identified as worn replaced. The condition & matching parts show us this rifle needed very little work done to it when it was there.

The collector we acquired it from has not fired it in around 30 years & the bore looks like it.

This would make an excellent centrepiece of your collection or the best possible start to one.

We are not going to try & rate the condition out of 100 as everyone seems to have a different opinion on what the percentages should be so we’ll let the pictures be the description. You will know if this is for you so view the photos carefully & make your decision based on what you see as they form the main description & override all written information. Ask for more if desired.

We think we have described it accurately & correctly but do not claim to be infallible so if we have got anything wrong, it is unintentional.

Whilst we check these out for serviceability, the warranty has expired & this is sold on an ‘as is’ basis. As with all used guns, we recommend you have this checked by a suitably qualified person prior to shooting.
