Description

Great shape for a 52 year old!

The Mauser Model 2000 is a commercial bolt-action hunting rifle manufactured between 1968 & 1974 for the hunting market.

Unlike the traditional “controlled-feed” Mauser 98 actions, this model uses a push-feed system ideal for hunting as controlled feed was more so as a military necessity.

These rifles carry on Mauser tradition for quality rifles & are known for the high standard of the finish.

This includes limited scroll work & higher grade wood with the Monte Carlo stock with quality checkering, as can be see in the photos.

According to records, this rifle was made toward the end of the production run, likely 1973-74.

This rifle was owned by an elderly shooter’s wife who has passed & was fastidiously maintained.

It comes mounted with a quality Japanese 3-9×40 optic which is crystal clear with a duplex reticle labelled Miroku although we suspect this was made elsewhere & just marketed by Miroku as they are known for firearms, not optics.

We think we have described it accurately & correctly but do not claim to be infallible so if we have got anything wrong, it is unintentional & are happy for feedback from people who know more than we do.

Make your decision based on the photos, as these form the main description & override all other.

Whilst we check these out for serviceability, the warranty has expired & this is sold on an ‘as is’ basis. As with all used guns, we recommend you have this checked by a suitably qualified person prior to shooting.

We have a pretty unique refund policy on our collectable guns whereby we will refund your money if it is not in the condition described when you receive it. Just let us know before if you decide to send it back.

Standard shipping is $88 for all for metro shipping bar WA, otherwise call for a cost to your dealer.
