BACK AVAILABLE FOR SALE!

This rare matching numbers rifle comes complete with cleaning rod, sight hood & original sling!

ONE OF ONLY 4% OF TOTAL K98’S MADE!

Currently awaiting import from Germany in our next consignment & due to arrive in Australia early 2021 is this very nice later war K98k made by Waffenwerke Brünn in Brno, one of Germany’s ‘conquest’ firearms manufactures in Czechoslovakia & is now available for purchase with a deposit by the keen collector.

Visible matching numbers include barrel, receiver, complete bolt, front barrel band, floor plate, butt plate & rear sight.

On page 238 of ‘Backbone of the Wehrmacht’ by Richard D. Law the recorded production numbers show only 621,959 Kar98k’s were made in this year by Waffenwerke Brünn, meaning this rifle is one of less than 4.25% of total K98k production making this an extremely rare rifle, especially considering the attrition rate, both in combat & past war.

This is in this pristine condition & bears all the hallmarks of Hans, Johann or Fritz greasing it up before hiding it after the war where it sat for decades before coming onto the collectors market in 2020 Munich.

This is a very good example of a later war K98k rifle made before the Germans began to introduce changes to production techniques to save time, materials & money which resulted in what is known as the Kriegsmodell.

It presents as all original as can be seen in the photos. The wood is very good with minimal marks from wartime service & it retains a generous amount of the original blue still present as can be seen in the photos.

The bore is excellent, shiny with lots of rifling clearly visible, so definitely a shooter!

Do your own research & you will see that this great example of a hard to find matching Kar98k would make an excellent addition to any serious Mauser collection or a great start to one.

We are offering this rifle as a collectable piece of military history & acknowledge the grievous atrocities committed by the Nazi regime & some of its military, particularly toward the peoples of occupied territory & the Jewish population in Europe. In no way do we condone or glorify the Nazi regime which must be remembered for the vile stain on human history that it was.

These photos are the only ones we have until it arrives so please view them carefully as they form the main description & override all written information. You can wait for more & take the chance it will be sold (which history shows it will be) or make your decision based on what you see & be the lucky one who adds this outstanding & rare Kar98k to their collection.

Whilst we check these out for serviceability, the warranty has expired & these are sold on an as is basis.

As with all used guns, we recommend you have this checked by a suitably qualified person prior to shooting.
