Mint & matching!
Offered for sale is this nice early Enfield .303 made by BSA & Co. which has all visible numbers matching including the barrel, receiver, nose cap, bolt, rear sight & wood!
This rifle has seen a life as can be seen in the photos but as you may know, quality rifles of this YOM don’t come along often to the collectors market & this is in outstanding overall condition with a great bore which is shiny with excellent rifling with zero nastiness.
As can be seen by markings, this rifle underwent an FTR type process at Lithgow first in July 1939 when it likely was taken out of storage with war looming. Usually, this means it was checked over & anything which didn’t meet standards was replaced before being reissued in April 1944, all of which is part of its provenance & can be seen by the markings on the stock.
This is an excellent opportunity to add an early SHTLe rifle in this great condition to your Enfield collection so do your own research & you will know if this is for you.
Please view the photos carefully & make your decision based on what you see as they form the main description & override all written information. Ask for more if desired.
We think we have described it accurately & correctly but do not claim to be infallible so if we have got anything wrong, it is unintentional & are happy for feedback from people who know more than we do.
Whilst we check these out for serviceability, the warranty has expired & this is sold on an ‘as is’ basis. As with all used guns, we recommend you have this checked by a suitably qualified person prior to shooting.
We have a pretty unique refund policy on our collectable guns whereby we will refund your money if it is not as described when you receive it. Just let us know before you send it back.
