JM stamped with great wood!

Offered for sale is a very nice Marlin 30AS which was the forerunner of the current model 336 in outstanding restored condition as can be seen in the photos.

This rifle has the famous JM stamp on the barrel indicating it was made by the original Marlin company & not Remington or Ruger who later purchased Marlin. Some say the steel is better on these rifles but that may well just be Marlin owners being loyal.

We have determined this to be manufactured in 1990 meaning it has been stored more than shot (well stored).

The 30AS is mechanically identical to the 336, with the only difference being the wood being Birch instead of Walnut & as can be seen in the photos, this has very attractive furniture.

All parts are interchangeable between the 336 & 30AS so there is no issue with spares or accessories.

This would make an excellent farm gun or hunter as it is already has the rail to mount an optic & has the thumb extender on the hammer, allowing for easy access when a scope is fitted.

This has been in storage at the shop for since 2019 & we are selling to recover the outstanding storage fees so is priced to sell…don’t hesitate if you think this is for you!

We are not going to try & rate the condition out of 100 as everyone seems to have a different opinion on what the percentages should be, so we’ll let the pictures be the description. You will know if this is for you so view the photos carefully & make your decision based on what you see as they form the main description & override all written information. Ask for more if desired.
