Description

The Colt Model 1877 was the first double-action revolver manufactured by Colt between 1877 to 1909 & revolutionised the Wild West.

The Model 1877 was offered in three calibres, which lent them three unofficial names: the “Lightning”, the “Thunderer” & the “Rainmaker”.

The Model 1877 was the favoured gun of many gunfighters on both sides of the law & Billy the Kid was known to be carrying one when he was shot dead by Sheriff Pat Garrett in 1881.

This example is in excellent condition with all matching numbers & appears unrestored.

The S/N dates this gun to 1905 & it comes with what we believe is the original holster.

These guns are highly collectable for the Colt collector & don’t come along often in this condition.

This would make an excellent addition to your Colt collection or be the beginning of one.
