Mint, matching with factory box!

Offered for sale is this mint condition & highly collectable 1961 German made Walther PPK chambered in the hard to find .22LR calibre.

The PPK has a long history going back to pre-war Germany & is as well known to many as being the preferred pistol of 007 James Bond & we all know Uncle Adolph did the world a favour when he didn’t check his PPK was loaded before peering intently down the barrel in April 1945 at the Führerbunker in Berlin.

As a background, the PPK was issued to Police Officers & numerous Nazi Party leaders (although this is not one of those). During the Cold War, it was a preferred pistol for those performing ‘covert activities’ on both sides due to its size, weight & concealability, especially within Europe & .22LR was a popular choice for those wanting a relatively quiet pistol for short range ‘work’.

“PPK” is an abbreviation for Polizeipistole Kriminal (literally “police pistol criminal”), referring to the Kriminalamt crime investigation office. While the K is often mistakenly assumed to stand for kurz (German for “short”), as the variant has a shorter barrel & frame, Walther used the name “Kriminal” in early advertising brochures and the 1937 GECO German catalog.

Partly due to its size & weight, the PPK saw widespread use & a Walther PPK was used by Kim Jae-gyu to kill South Korean dictator Park Chung-hee.

It goes without saying that a Walther PPK is a must have for the serious collector of post ’46 hand guns.

This example was recently imported from Germany & as can be seen in the photos, is in outstanding condition for a gun which turned 60 this year!

This comes with 2 original factory magazines & the original box which is in impeccable condition with no rips or tears seen & even has the original internal paper wrapping!

We have no idea of this gun’s history but if it could talk, I’d like to hear it!

Walther PPK’s are iconic in their own right & this is your chance to own a rare original German manufactured beauty to add to your collection.

Note that a collectors license for modern handguns is required to purchase this pistol.

There is plenty of information out there on the PPK so do your own research & you will know if this is for you. Please view the photos carefully & make your decision based on what you see as they form the main description & override all written information. Ask for more if desired.

We think we have described it accurately & correctly but do not claim to be infallible so if we have got anything wrong, it is unintentional & are happy for feedback from people who know more than we do.

Whilst we check these out for serviceability, the warranty has expired & this is sold on an ‘as is’ basis. As with all used guns, we recommend you have this checked by a suitably qualified person prior to shooting.

We have a pretty unique refund policy on our collectable guns whereby we will refund your money if it is not as described when you receive it. Just let us know before you send it back.
