Description

Mint, matching & original!

Offered for sale is this WW2 fascist slayer which is a veteran of the Great Patriotic War & a symbol of the defence of the Rodina by the peace loving workers & peasants of the USSR.

After Operation Barbarossa commenced in June 1941 the fighting ended up being very urban & snipers played a major role, on both sides.

This rifle is in mint condition as can be seen in the photos & has all matching numbers including, correctly, the scope mount.

This was obtained from a reliable source & has been in a private collection for the past decade before being available to purchase now.

Everything about this gun is correct, other than the finish which has had all of the gunk the Soviets covered it in post war removed, leaving this magnificent finish, as it left the Izhevsk factory in 1942.

We will never know it’s history but this may well have participated in the desperate fighting which removed the fascists from the Motherland & ended in Germany’s defeat & then end of the Nazi scourge.

All markings are clear (as clear as a rushed production can be) as can be seen in the photos it retains not only the original canvas sling with the leather dog collars but also the leather scope caps, all of which are in outstanding condition.

The scope works correctly with the reticule freely moving as required regarding the bullet drop compensator aspect & is as clear as the day it was made!

We are offering this rifle as a collectable piece of military history & acknowledge the grievous atrocities committed by the Communist regime which murdered countless millions of it’s own citizens, along with those of it’s neighbours (in the name of liberation) & were responsible to the Cold War & nuclear arms race which delayed human progress for 40 years. In no way do we condone or glorify the USSR which must be remembered for the vile stain on human history that it was, no better than the fascists they were so desperate to destroy.

There are fake Soviet PE snipers which have been made up post war but this is not one of them & any inspection is welcomed.

Oh & it is an accurate (but brutal) rifle to shoot & would be an excellent investment & combined services rifle.

We think we have described it accurately & correctly but do not claim to be infallible so if we have got anything wrong, it is unintentional & are happy for feedback from people who know more than we do.

Whilst we check these out for serviceability, the warranty has expired & this is sold on an ‘as is’ basis. As with all used guns, we recommend you have this checked by a suitably qualified person prior to shooting.

We have a pretty unique refund policy on our collectable guns whereby we will refund your money if it is not as described when you receive it. Just let us know before you decide to send it back.

Standard cost for shipping is $55 & all guns are sent via Startrack without insurance but we pack very well.
