Description
Matching numbers with Waffenamts & correct holster!
Offered for sale is this hard to find CZ.27 pistol manufactured under the German Occupation which was issued to German forces & has Waffenamt proof marks!
Nicely, it comes with a correct period holster which also has Nazi occupation stamps & which is marked sat44 & has a WaA stamp but due to the location, it is very difficult to determine what it is exactly.
Correctly, the Waffenamt code on this pistol is ‘WaA76’ indicating this gun was accepted into German military service. Also clearly visible is the acceptance stamp in the form of the Reich Adler (dirty bird) on the barrel which can be seen through the ejection port.
Post war, the Czech’s tended to mill off Nazi markings, especially those on the top of the slide. This escaped this punishment & retains these markings which designate the factory of manufacture. This gun displays BOHMISCHE WAFFENFABRIK A.G. IN PRAG plus a Nazi dirty bird & matching serial number of 246638, which is also stamped on the frame.
This beauty has not been molested in any way & still presents with the dark phosphate finish & the one piece Bakelite grips are almost immaculate.
Correct for a wartime manufactured CZ.27, this gun comes with the magazine marked P.Mod. 27.
We understand this was originally a war trophy taken home by a US GI which ended being auctioned in the 21st Century & was imported from the US by a serious collector which would explain the originality.
The CZ27 was an updated variant of the CZ24 & was produced under German occupation of Czechoslovakia. Around 425,000 of these pistols were produced & used by the German army but more often by ‘Police Units’ in occupation duty.
As can be seen in the photos, this example is in beautiful condition & will be an excellent addition to any serious WW2 handgun collection.
We are offering this pistol as a collectable piece of military history & acknowledge the grievous atrocities committed by the Nazi regime & some of its military, particularly toward the peoples of occupied territory & the Jewish population in Europe. In no way do we condone or glorify the Nazi regime which must be remembered for the vile stain on human history that it was.
We think we have described it accurately & correctly but do not claim to be infallible so if we have got anything wrong, it is unintentional & are happy for feedback from people who know more than we do.
Make your decision based on the photos as these form the main description & override all other.
Whilst we check these out for serviceability, the warranty has expired & this is sold on an ‘as is’ basis. As with all used guns, we recommend you have this checked by a suitably qualified person prior to shooting.
We have a pretty unique refund policy on our collectable guns whereby we will refund your money if it is not as described when you receive it. Just let us know before you decide to send it back.
