Description
Mint & matching with correct Hardshell holster inc. tool!
Recently imported from the Fatherland is this highly desirable & collectable pre-WW2 variant which is in beautiful condition, as can be seen in the photos.
While all numbers match including the original firing pin (often replaced) it comes with the correct ‘Eagle 63’ marked magazine which is not matching numbers to the gun.
This pistol comes with the original Hardshell holster which is marked ‘HANS-ROMER, NEU ULM’ over 1936, over the waffenamt WaA107 which was assigned to the firm of Hans Romer of Neu-Ulm in 1936.
Correctly, it has been dyed black presumably in accordance with the change to black bought in around 1942. This is in excellent condition & comes with the correct ‘Eagle 63’ takedown tool.
It is not unusual for a holster & pistol to have different year dates but if they are within a year, this is considered correct by collectors.
As can be seen in the photos, even the loading/takedown tool is correct for this pistol, so you have the full, correct rig for a beautiful pre-war 3rd Reich P.08 Luger!
These pre-war guns were finished beautifully with high gloss, deep rust blue with the later 1937’s such as this changing to the full blued parts where the earlier pistols had the ‘strawed blue’ finish.
We are offering this pistol as a collectable piece of military history & acknowledge the grievous atrocities committed by the Nazi regime & some of its military, particularly toward the peoples of occupied territory & the Jewish population in Europe. In no way do we condone or glorify the Nazi regime which must be remembered for the vile stain on human history that it was.
We think we have described it accurately & correctly but do not claim to be infallible so if we have got anything wrong, it is unintentional & are happy for feedback from people who know more than we do.
Make your decision based on the photos as they form the main description.
Whilst we check these out for serviceability, the warranty has expired & this is sold on an ‘as is’ basis. As with all used guns, we recommend you have this checked by a suitably qualified person prior to shooting.
We have a pretty unique refund policy on our collectable guns whereby we will refund your money if it is not as described when you receive it. Just let us know before you decide to send it back.
Standard cost for shipping is $55 & all guns are sent via Startrack without insurance but we pack very well.
