Description

Mint & matching pre-WW2 with post war East German (GDR) police provenance plus correct Hardshell holster inc. tool!

This highly desirable & collectable pre-WW2 variant is in beautiful condition, as can be seen in the photos.

All visible numbers match other than two marked 90 instead of 92 on the toggle & it comes with the correct ‘Eagle 63’ marked magazine which is not matching numbers to the gun.

Adding to this guns rarity, you can see this pistol was issued post war to the GDR Volkspolizei (VOPO, East German police).

This pistol comes with the original Hardshell holster which is marked WaA132 which is  associated with the manufacturer code ‘grz‘, indicating it was made by Gebrüder Klinge, located in Dresden, Germany.

Correctly, the holster has been dyed black, presumably in accordance with the change to black bought in around 1942.

This pistol is in excellent original condition & shows no sign of being reblued which is evidenced by the GESICHERT (safety) being the original off white paint indicating never refinished plus it comes with an unmarked takedown tool.

As can be seen in the photos this is a correct rig for a beautiful pre-war 3rd Reich P.08 Luger!

These pre-war guns were finished beautifully with high gloss, deep rust blue with the later 1937’s such as this changing to the full blued parts where the earlier pistols had the ‘strawed blue’ finish.

We are offering this pistol as a collectable piece of military history & acknowledge the grievous atrocities committed by the Nazi regime & some of its military, particularly toward the peoples of occupied territory & the Jewish population in Europe. In no way do we condone or glorify the Nazi regime which must be remembered for the vile stain on human history that it was.

We think we have described it accurately & correctly but do not claim to be infallible so if we have got anything wrong, it is unintentional & are happy for feedback from people who know more than we do.

Make your decision based on the photos as they form the main description.

Whilst we check these out for serviceability, the warranty has expired & this is sold on an ‘as is’ basis. As with all used guns, we recommend you have this checked by a suitably qualified person prior to shooting.

We have a pretty unique refund policy on our collectable guns whereby we will refund your money if it is not as described when you receive it. Just let us know before you decide to send it back.

Standard cost for shipping is $55 & all guns are sent via Startrack without insurance but we pack very well.
