Description

This is a rare & unique example of an interwar No. 1 Mk III SMLE made in the Indian Rifle Factory Ishapore (RFI).

This is all matching numbers, right down to the magazine & has some interesting markings on the stock which we believe are an armoury rack number.

The bayonet is an original Indian also by RFI & is correspondingly marked GRI / RFI & although not the original for this individual rifle, it is correct.

1928 was a small production year for Ishapore which makes it even more desirable.

The bore is excellent & shoots straight. This is probably irreplaceable & would be a unique addition to any Enfield collection.

Do your own research & you will know if this is for you so view the photos carefully & make your decision based on what you see as they form the main description & override all written information. Ask for more if desired.

Whilst we check these out for serviceability, the warranty has expired & this is sold on an ‘as is’ basis. As with all used guns, we recommend you have this checked by a suitably qualified person prior to shooting.
