Description

You will see that this Stevens rifle closely resembles a Savage Axis, which is no coincidence. Stevens Arms has a long history of firearms manufacture & in 1920 Savage bought out Stevens.

As a division of Savage, Stevens continued to produce firearms at their Chicopee Falls facility until 1960 when the plant was torn down & Stevens production was moved into other Savage facilities which is why you are looking at a rifle which looks for all the world like a Savage but bears the name Stevens.

This Stevens is a better rifle than a new Savage Axis which is an entry level rifle. This can be seen in things such as the solid steel bolt handle & other items which are hardened steel & not simply cast aluminium as found on the Axis.

Mounted with a clear Trophy Series 3-9×40 scope, this is ready to slay dinosaurs or whatever large game you may be after.

Condition is excellent as can be seen in the photos & the bore is in similar condition as the rest of the rifle.

You will know if this is for you so view the photos carefully & make your decision based on what you see as they form the main description & override all written information. Ask for more if desired.

We think we have described it accurately & correctly but do not claim to be infallible so if we have got anything wrong, it is unintentional.

Whilst we check these out for serviceability, the warranty has expired & this is sold on an ‘as is’ basis. As with all used guns, we recommend you have this checked by a suitably qualified person prior to shooting.
