Description

As good as they come…unrestored, early year, complete, mint & matching!

Offered for sale is this original & highly collectable BRNO Model 1 rifle dating from when the Czechs first began post war production of rimfire rifles. The Model 1 had a wide open ejection port, flip-up leaf sight, a safety on top of the bolt & a fairly simple trigger (although variations exist). Around just 170,000 were made.

Manufactured in 1951, this rifle one of the early rifles, as they transitioned to the Model 2 in 1956 & is in excellent unmolested original condition as can be seen in the photos.

Unusually, this rifle has retained the original iron sights which are often removed when mounting a scope & are usually left on a shelf in the shed to gather dust.

This rifle boasts an early clear, original & period correct steel tube 2.5-7×32 K-Series variable Weaver scope with the wide angle ‘TV lense’ with the fine duplex reticle which we believe on Hilver ‘tip off’ mounts.

Original Model 1’s are highly collectable in their own right & there is nothing we can say about this that can’t be seen in the photos so make your decision based on what you see.

These don’t come along very often so if you think this is for you, don’t hesitate.

We think we have described it accurately & correctly but do not claim to be infallible so if we have got anything wrong, it is unintentional & are happy for feedback from people who know more than we do.

Whilst we check these out for serviceability, the warranty has expired & this is sold on an ‘as is’ basis. As with all used guns, we recommend you have this checked by a suitably qualified person prior to shooting.
